About the Nebraska House

Patients living outside the Omaha area can either stay with family or friends in town or make arrangements through the Pain Management Program secretarial staff to stay at the Nebraska House located on The Nebraska Medical Centers campus. If you wish to stay in other facilities, you may do so at your own expense.

The Nebraska House is adjacent to the Lied Transplant Center and is less than a five-minute walk from the Pain Management Program. It is located on the fourth floor of the Specialty Services Pavilion (SSP) building (also known as the Nebraska House building or the Outpatient Surgical Center -- not the surgery clinic).

Nebraska House rooms are modest. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms. If you wish to stay in other facilities, you may do so at your own expense.

Patients are encouraged to check in before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and to check out no later than 1 p.m. on Friday. Luggage and belongings can be kept at the Pain Management Program clinic on Fridays. Patients are encouraged to return home on the weekends. Patients who decide to stay over the weekend are responsible for paying for their stay ($30+ per night) or obtain appropriate authorization for payment for their stay. Regular Sunday through Thursday night charges are the responsibility of the Pain Management Program.

When you arrive, you may pull into the half circle entryway to the Lied Transplant Center, unload your luggage, take the elevator to the second floor to check in, and then move your vehicle to the patient parking structure. You may want to print the Web Page with the map and directions to take with you for reference.
