trapped in a vicious cycle involving their physical health problems and a multitude
of psychosocial issues. The Pain Management Department realizes the dynamic interaction
between chronic pain and psychological/ emotional well-being, and therefore, the
important role psychological counseling can provide in facilitating pain management.
